It must be that time of year! The real question is why it's the NIH not sending out such notifications. It seems like it should be more properly a non-activity of the NEH.

The email you actually received indicates that your salary for the next five years is provided, right?

Right. Also, it's renewable in five year increments, in perpetuity.
