Isn't there a tradition that animated gifs on New Year's Day bring an especially large portion of adorable baby animals in the coming year? I think so.
Or maybe they just bring a massive helping of Tumblr blogs. Oh well, either way. My gift to you!

Yeah, that's pretty much exactly my soundtrack for it, too. Steve tells me his is the music from Pac-Man.
