I have pears. But I haven't unpacked my jars yet. I am not sure what box they are in. Hmmm. Better just eat these pears, then get more, later, and do this.

Fabulous recipe, this is my third year of doing them, each time I think "shall I cook them for less time" but always do the full 6 hours, just finished my last two from 2010, with greek yoghourt, Great!

Once in their jars, how long should you leave them to mature before eating?

They're good right away!

Really worried - is this enough fluid? I put them in and it doesn't cover the pears right away. So far, just letting them simmer out, covered. Hoping this is okay.
